After a successful exit he has focused his energy in founding Marie-Lou&D, a hybrid studio salon brand , offering a chic salon space to local and international creative artists in a flexible, pay per use environment . MLD was recognized as one of the most fashionable salons in NYC for It girls by institutions and media like Refinery29, Vogue, Marie-Claire, Instyle etc.

He is advisor in various beauty tech ventures in US/Europe, Asia and a member of tech incubators focused on Global Beauty & Consumer Tech. 





1. How is the dynamic of the services industry in the beauty market?
As opposed to products in beauty which is a very dynamic market the services in beauty are slowly playing catch up. There have been some changes  in terms of personalization of services but overall there is a lot of untapped potential in this area.

2. What are the biggest emerging trends in beauty?
Personalization and use of technology are the biggest trends right now transforming the discovery and shopping experience at every corner,. There is a fierce competition between the cosmetic giants and there are some great new entrants in the market.

3. What are the biggest changes in the salon industry?Salon industry is very traditional and  has had a very slow transformation but through experience i feel the biggest change has been the  emancipation of Hairstylists/aestheticians who have become savvy at managing business looking after their own professional growth and with a use of social media trying to establish themselves.

4. What are the challenges you forsee in your market?Finding the right team players, getting new customers at the door and keeping them coming combined with an overall client experience are the battle ground.The rigid salon model is no longer appealing to stylists the use of technology is awaiting to unleash that potential and transform client and stylist experience alike.

5. What advice do you have for salon owners getting into the market right now?
My advice would be to embrace change, educate themselves on tech advances in their space  and closely watch the market trends to stay on top of the game.
